There's a few of you now, so in an effort to do this in a somewhat organized fashion, here's the list so far, in the order of who ordered first.

I have enough 5052 aluminum for the first four. I have to order more of it to finish the other two.

Super Builds, Anyone Ever Finish?

We have seen many, many, "super build" threads started.. "im going to design a custom carbon tank, cut my frame out of a single piece of titanium, pit rc212v forks on, bake my own tire compound in my bathroom, and use rossi's brain as the cdi"

We have all seen em, I usually ignore them.. Anyone ever finished one of these well intentioned lofty goaded projects that you guys can remeber.

I think claxtons got prety far, but didnt finish and i think he took kind of the mid road.

This video link is fresh (for the public). It was made just six weeks ago (?) in the Atlantic, just off Newport News ( Hampton Roads), Virginia .

These are the latest sea trials of the F-35B on the USS Wasp. They were very successful, with 74 VL's and STO's in a three week period.

The media and the program critics had predicted that we would burn holes in the deck and wash sailors overboard.

Neither of which happened. You will notice a sailor standing on the bow of the ship as the jet rotates.

That was an intentional part of the sea trials.

Landing on an Aircraft Carrier with ...No catapult... No hook.... It�s a new world out there!

The shape and scope of warfare �worldwide� just changed.

Visiting San Fran

I know there are a bunch of San Fran hawkers on the forum and I'll spending some time there during the honeymoon. Even better, we'll be on a bike! Landing Sunday night, just looking for any general suggestions, bike related or otherwise. Good places to eat, places where riders congregates, etc... Will be riding up to Mendocino during the week.

Came out of my office this evening to this...
It's a good thing I recently read an article detailing how to do clutchless shifting, as the clutch lever snapped a good ways to the pivot point.
Surprisingly, a guy came by and offered to help pick it up and another drove by telling me that one of his employees actually witnessed the hit! So, I'll be paying his office a visit tomorrow and hope the person has some really good details. Last thing I want is to turn this into a witch hunt, as tempting as it would be.

The good thing is that I have NT696's sliders on and it pretty much took the brunt of the fall.
Only damages that I noticed was a snapped clutch lever, deformed metal piece under the footpeg, and bent kickstand (this is the FAAAAAHCK part...). Now it's parked on its centerstand, on the street. I'm just waiting to see it on its side again in the morning... good times!

So while everyone's been wondering how much longer Rossi will be around due to age and uncompetitive options Casey drops the bomb today. 2012 will be the last time we see him drifting both wheels with his elbow skimming the inside curb. Enjoy the next 15 races. The Australian alien is beaming back to the mothership. Kinda sad, but great to see someone move on neither broken in body or spirit.

Horn wiring question

Is there a horn relay? I looked at the Hawk GT wiring diagram and, to me, it looks like it shares a relay with the signals. I've never seen that before and wondered if thats the case, or does it have its own relay or does it not have a relay at all? I ask because I'd like to replace the OEM horn with a pair of LOUD horns like I did on my GS1100. The 1st couple of times I used them I was glad I spent the time and money installing them. It was especially rewarding when I had a dog size me up as I going slow through a construction zone. The b*tch saw me coming and waited on me to get close enough to attack. The look on its face was priceless as it came charging at me with its teeth bared. I hit the horn when it was about 10' from me. It looked like it had just been hit with a car! Its look changed from pure evil to Please Don't Hit Me Again. LOL
